Academic centre

The Academic Centre is very active and provides facilities for teaching, training and educational resources for all grades of doctors, nurses and allied health professionals. The centre boasts well equipped lecture theatre and meeting rooms.  The hospital's medical library is located within the Academic Centre and is available for the Northallerton VTSD trainees to use.

We have a busy schedule of lectures with both in-house and invited speakers, regular teaching and training sessions both within divisions and in the Academic Centre, particularly for junior doctors to ensure that all educational objectives are met.

We have a structured approach to appraisal and assessment. All of the activities are co-ordinated by the Postgraduate services department.
