Ripon - North House Surgery

Trainee post evaluation August 13-'I would highly recommend the post to all GP trainees.'

North House SurgeryRipon is a small cathedral city proud of its history. Two of the three practices in the town have training status. North House is a long established, lively, busy, suburban rural practice.

The surgery has been extended to provide spacious accommodation.  The surgery has access to a community hospital and shares responsibility for the minor injuries unit with other practices in the city.

Partners' special interests include homeopathy, learning disabilities, manipulation, minor surgery and family planning. Nearby is Fountains Abbey, which is now a world heritage site.  The Wakeman blows his horn in the market place to sound the curfew every night and the 1300 year old cathedral has the oldest Saxon crypt in the country.
